Support all aspects of financial operations and efforts to accomplish fiscal goals of the organization
Work with synagogue leaders to provide necessary financial information and analyses to operate the organization.
Develop, maintain, monitor and enforce financial operating policies and procedures financial controls
Monitor and oversee all aspects of financial reporting, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, budgets, banking relationships, asset management, safeguard assets, theft protection and compliance.
Prepare quarterly and annual budgets, and work with department heads to address budget deficiencies
Maintain a continuing program for the review and revision of the organization's financial systems to ensure they are current, effective and reliable.
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance required, Master's degree preferred
Minimum 10 years of finance experience
Excellent Microsoft Excel and other related computer skills
Adagio (accounting) and Chaverware (synagogue CRM) software experience preferred
Proven supervisory experience
Possess problem solving ability, leadership skills and be able to foster interpersonal relationships.
Ability to work independently, motivate and be self-motivated, flexible, versatile, and creative.
